Your FAQ's about Las Vegas answered here...

What should I pack for a trip to Las Vegas?

Bring sunscreen, reusable water bottles, comfortable walking shoes, layers for changing temps, and chargers for your devices. Don’t forget your ID — it’s required for most venues.

What’s the best way to get around Las Vegas?

Walking is great for short distances on the Strip. For longer trips, use rideshare apps (Uber/Lyft), the Deuce Bus, Monorail, or even rental scooters. Parking at a handful of casinos is free, others start at $20 and up for the day. A small handful of garages on Fremont Street fluctuate pricing depending on expected capacity, usually higher during special events.

When is the best time of year to visit Las Vegas?

The most pleasant times are spring (March–May) and fall (September–November), when daytime temperatures are warm but not scorching. Summers can be very hot (100°F+), and winters are mild but chilly at night.

What should I wear while walking the Strip or Fremont Street?

Dress for the weather! Lightweight, breathable clothing and comfy walking shoes are a must. Always carry water, sunscreen, and maybe a light sweater for indoors where it’s heavily air-conditioned.

Are street performers and characters free to take pictures with?

They often expect tips. If you pose for a photo, a few dollars per person is standard. Be polite and aware of your surroundings.

Can I bring alcohol with me while walking outside?

On the Strip, open containers in plastic cups are allowed, but glass bottles and cans are prohibited. Fremont Street has stricter rules, so check signs and local laws.

Is Las Vegas family-friendly?

Yes! While known for nightlife, Vegas has amazing family attractions like the High Roller, Shark Reef Aquarium, Bellagio Fountains, and Discovery Children's Museum.

Is it safe to walk around at night?

Generally, yes — especially on the Strip and Fremont Street. Still, stay alert, keep valuables secure, and stick to well-lit, busy areas.

What are some hidden gems off the Strip?

Explore Fremont East, Arts District, Red Rock Canyon, local breweries, Spring Mountain Ranch, or grab tacos in Chinatown. Vegas locals know the best spots!
